Meet The Team

Margo Adonis, the Founding Director, and Kim Williams, the Executive Director, met in 2010 at the Cape Peninsula University of  Technology sitting on the floor while waiting for the lecturer. Since then, they have grown not only as now Directors of Visions of Change South Africa, but also a beautiful friendship, and share in their love for the environment.

Margo Adonis is a Scientific Technician and holds a Bachelors of Technology in Environmental Management from the Cape Peninsula Univeristy of Technology.

She is a Registered Candidate Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions.

 

Margo is a former Miss Earth South Africa Ambassador 2019/2020. 

​

She sits on the Advisory Board Committee member for Cape Peninsula University of Technology Environmental Programme.

​

Margo is an award winner and nominee. She has many accolades:

Recipient of the Cape Peninsula Univeristy of technology Inductrial excellence award.

Recipient of the 2018 International hidden Eco-Hero awasrd by Tunza-Eco-Generation (United Nations Youth Programme).

Sustainable Development Goal Lead Advocate for World Merit South Africa (2019-2020).

Recipient of the Netherlands Embassy to South Africa Wetskills prize.

Inside Education 100 South African Shining Star 2020: Environment Category.

Recipient of the Womandla STEAM award, 2021.

Graduate of the International cohort from the United Nations Sustainable Solutions Network Local Pathways Fellowship Programme, 2021.

Recipient of the Panache Woman of Wonder Award, 2022.

Received a commendation award from the South African Army Support for superior devotion, loyalty and services rendered.

Margo is also a mentor, advisor and judge for the Eskom Science Expo for Young Scientist.

​

She is a Motivational Speaker, and environmental protection and Sustainable Development Goals Activist.

​

Miss Kim Williams

Kim Williams holds a Bachelors of Technology in Environmental Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. 

 

Kim is an Environmental Project Manager at a renewable energy company. She was an environmental consultant for almost seven years before entering into the Renewable Energy sector. Kim is registered as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa. 

​

Kim advocates for environmental awareness and education. She believes in, and encourages a mind shift from the normal day to day, to thinking about how how to be more environmentally aware of the things we do, and our consumption. She enjoys engaging with different people from school children to organisations (religious and community).

​

Kim has been invited as a guest speaker, and as a motivational speaker to different events. 

​

She is a youth and sustainability activist. She believes in and advocates for youth empowerment. 

​
